Go to sleep at a decent time every single night—even on weekends

While it might be difficult to get your body used to a new sleep schedule, this is the first thing that you need to do in order to have the happy and healthy morning that you deserve to have. Even though it might be difficult to adjust your schedule to go to sleep and wake up at the exact same time every single day, it is something that you are going to need to learn how to do so that you can get a full eight hours of rest and get your body into a healthy routine to have you wake up in the morning energized and keep up that energy all day.

Have lighting that is good for your eyes

Believe it or not, the lighting in your home can have an effect on your life. Even if you think that it is impossible for the lighting in your home to alter your mood, it is something that has been talked about and proven to be true in certain people. The bathroom wall lights that you have may be great for you, but the lights in your kitchen might be harmful to you. Make sure that all of the lights in your home are bright enough for you to navigate your home, but not bright enough to hurt your eyes if you look at it for too long.

Clean up your kitchen after dinner and before you go to bed

When you are finished with dinner, make sure that you clean everything up. This might be something that you already make a habit of, but you will definitely want to keep things clean before you go to bed. This way, you are never left with the dread of not having done it the night before and not being able to make coffee or eat breakfast until the dishes are done. It might be a hard task to convince yourself to do at the end of the day when you are tired, but it is something that is definitely worth doing when you get the hang of it.

Make sure that everything has a place in your bathroom

Get organization bins. If you don’t have cabinet space in your bathroom, buy a shelf and add your own cabinet space. You need to keep things organized if you want to have a life that is easy in the morning. You won’t have to look around for a new toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, deodorant, or anything else if you have it all in an organized place in your bathroom. Extend this organization to your bedroom if you have a lot of things there that help get you ready in the morning. The more organized you are, the easier your life will be.

Pick out your outfits beforehand

When you don’t have a lot of time in the morning to plan everything out and still get the breakfast that you need, have your outfit ready for you when you wake up by picking it out the night before. This is a method a lot of moms use when they want their kids to not have to rush in the mornings, and it is a method that works for a lot of adults. You don’t have to be a preschool student to have your clothes ready for you in the morning. If it makes your day easier to have everything lying out for you, there is no reason that you shouldn’t have it out.
